Achilles Tendon Injury Repair: Yvonne Holloway’s Patient Story

After losing weight and improving her overall health, Yvonne Holloway was excited to return to the gym. One Friday afternoon, however, her excitement quickly turned into extreme pain. During a round of mountain climber exercises, Yvonne pushed herself a little too hard and tore her Achilles tendon. Her husband promptly rushed her to The Bone and Joint Clinic of Baton Rouge – a decision she is still grateful for nearly two years later.

Ruptured Achilles Surgery

At The Bone and Joint Clinic, Yvonne found solace in the expert hands of Dr. Patrick Hall, who spearheaded her recovery plan. Commencing with a meticulous Achilles tendon repair surgery, Dr. Hall's precision set the foundation for Yvonne's healing journey.

Post Achilles Injury Recovery

Post-surgery, Yvonne embarked on a carefully crafted rehabilitation program. The initial phase involved regular cast changes every two weeks, progressing to the use of an orthopedic boot. Coupled with intensive physical therapy, Yvonne's perseverance and Dr. Hall's expertise became the cornerstone of her recovery.

Throughout her six-month recovery, Yvonne experienced unwavering support from Dr. Hall and the entire team at The Bone and Joint Clinic. Yvonne stated, "Dr. Hall has a great bedside manner and the entire staff was always positive. The entire experience with Bone and Joint was great! Their positivity, patience, and kindness have profoundly impacted my well-being and offered me comfort during a challenging period."
