A Lifetime of Orthopedic Care: Willie Louviere's Patient Story

When it comes to quality care and unwavering dedication, Bone and Joint Clinic has been a steadfast companion throughout Willie Louviere's life. From her teenage years to adulthood, Willie has relied on the expertise of Bone and Joint’s esteemed doctors to overcome numerous orthopedic afflictions.

Excellent Pediatric Orthopedic Care

Willie's visits to The Bone and Joint Clinic first began during her teenage years when she was a Western rider, a pastime that left her with many knee injuries. At a young age, she saw Dr. Michael Frierson, a skilled orthopedic physician and surgeon specializing in pediatric orthopedics. Impressed by his patience and compassionate approach, Willie found solace in his care, and many years later, when her daughter suffered a growth plate separation in her foot due to a trampoline accident, it was Dr. Frierson she trusted to quickly and safely get her back on her feet.

“Dr. Frierson is so patient and wonderful,” says Willie. “I would expect nothing less from him.”

Treating Hand Pain and Numbness

In her adulthood, after her riding days were behind her, Willie found herself once again facing orthopedic complications in the form of debilitating hand pain and numbness. She knew it was time to consult a hand specialist, and although this was not Dr. Frierson’s area of expertise, her incredible experiences with him left her convinced that Bone and Joint was still the place to go. With a recommendation from the clinic, she met Dr. Charles Cefalu on his very first day of work at the clinic.

From her initial consultation, Willie could plainly see Dr. Cefalu's commitment to his patients. He attentively listened to her concerns, took his time to devise a personalized plan, and performed a necessary surgery within a week. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Cefalu's genuine care and constant follow-ups left a lasting impression, just as Dr. Frierson had done all those years before.

“Dr. Cefalu is just a fabulous person,” raves Willie. “He listens and doesn’t rush you. He reached out several times after surgery to check on me. I recommend him to everyone!”

An Exceptional Healthcare Experience

When asked to describe her many Bone and Joint Clinic encounters, one word comes to Willie’s mind for all of them: exceptional. Peyton, Dr. Cefalu's nurse, was highly attentive and supportive throughout her treatment. The front desk staff was warm and receptive, ensuring minimal wait times and providing a seamless experience. Moreover, the team at the Orthopedic Surgery Center (OSC) displayed remarkable kindness, making her feel comfortable and valued.

Life-Changing Orthopedic Results

The impact of Willie's procedures at The Bone and Joint Clinic has been significant. Following her surgery, she experienced a dramatic improvement in her hand's functionality, allowing her to resume her day-to-day activities with newfound ease. Despite the initial restriction of heavy lifting, Willie was back to work within days, thanks to Dr. Cefalu's expertise and efficient post-operative care.

Highly Recommended Orthopedic Doctors

Willie's high praise for Bone and Joint Clinic knows no bounds. She wholeheartedly recommends the clinic to everyone needing orthopedic care, citing the exceptional skills and compassionate demeanor of both the doctors and staff. With a father who was also an orthopedic physician, Willie's expectations for her healthcare providers are high. Fortunately, The Bone and Joint Clinic has exceeded them all.
