OSCBR proudly announces its renewed certification from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Accreditation demonstrates an organization's dedication to continuous quality improvement. A three-year specialist program called certification is based on re-accreditation requirements and focuses on patient outcomes. For advanced orthopedic certification, adherence to the AAAHC Standards indicates the application of evidence-based clinical practice standards, continuous performance improvement techniques, and an excellence-promoting infrastructure.
"The Orthopedic Surgery Center is extremely proud of our team's work to maintain the highest standards and accreditation for ambulatory surgery centers for our patients. We want to treat our patients just as we would like to be treated if we or any member of our family were to be the patient," remarks Steven Winkler, Executive Director of OSC.
While the onsite survey is an important component of the process, ongoing compliance, and continual improvement generate the re-accreditation maintenance mindset that the facility should weave into its daily activities long after the survey date ends. Through AAAHC Accreditation, organizations adopt policies and procedures that promote ongoing quality improvement and self-evaluation every day of the accreditation term.
